How does this event work?

As the sun sets, the main street of Maleny will close to traffic, and come alive with lanterns, light shows and art projections, live music, street performances, and interactive art exhibitions, installations, dance, puppetry, and theatre, comedy, poetry, and pop up workshops, along with a range of intimate gatherings in local cafes and restaurants, artisan stalls and so much more!

Performances will be hosted inside participating venues as well as along the main street.

Depending on the ticket type you purchase, you will be able to access this eclectic mix of entertainment and activities allowing you to meander between venues and along the street, essentially curating the experience that you want to have.

How much are tickets?

There are two ticket types.

Access pass tickets are $25 and get you into all participating main street venues except the Dance Party in the Maleny Community Centre.

Access + tickets are $50 and get you into all participating main street venues as well as the Dance Party in the Maleny Community Centre. Limited to 250 tickets only.

Children under the age of 16 are free, and all people under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets are for sale via Trybooking. We encourage everyone to pre-purchase their tickets online as numbers are limited.

Please present your ticket to the Kiosk next to the Maleny Community Centre on Maple Street when you arrive to collect your wristband, which will allow you access into participating venues associated with your ticket type. You will get a different coloured wrist band, depending on your ticket type.

Can I purchase tickets on the evening?

Yes. Tickets will also be available for sale (via cash or eftpos) at the Kiosk next to the Maleny Community Centre on Maple St, Maleny.

Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be issued for change of mind, or if you are no longer able to attend.

What if the weather is bad?

Arts Alive Maleny will go ahead rain, hail or shine. All activities will simply move indoors and under cover.

Is this event disability-friendly?

All venues have disability access. Carers are free upon presentation of carers card.

What time do activities start?

Maple Street, Maleny will be closed to traffic from 5 pm. Entertainment will officially kick off from 6pm. We encourage you to arrive before 6 pm to collect your wrist bands from the Kiosk.

Are children under 18 allowed in all venues?

Yes. All children under the age of 16 are free, and all young people under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I just walk through the main street without paying?

Yes. People are welcome to pass through the street without purchasing a ticket. All sales go directly into supporting the creative arts community, so please consider supporting our local talent by purchasing a ticket if you do stay to enjoy the performances along the street.
